Holiday Travel 2009 Forecast: How To Get The Best Deals

The holiday Thanksgiving and Christmas are the most popular time for Americans to travel. For example, 41 million Americans have a trip last Thanksgiving, despite record prices for gas and airline tickets.

How better deals for travel this year may be available, or the Americans in a season of holiday travel expensive?

Although airfares have reached record highs last year for the holiday 2009 season, travelers should see significant relief on prices.

During the long weekend of Thanksgiving, the average national price of the ticket is expected to be more than 20% over the previous year. As expected, the most popular Thanksgiving itinerary a Wednesday departure and Saturday return.
